    M Health Fairview Ridges Hopsital is hiring a Nurse Manager position in ther Operating Room ! Come lead a team where the cumulative employee nursing satisfaction/engagement score is 86 percent !  M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital (Burnsville, MN) has been providing state-of-the-art care and community services to the residents of the scenic Minnesota Valley region since 1984.  Total licensed patient beds are 150. 


    The Operating Room currently has 12 OR Rooms and averages 10,000 cases a year both adults and pediatrics. OR specialty areas including: Spine, Ortho, OB-GYN, General, ENT, Plastic, Urology, and Da Vinci. The OR also partners with the Cardiac Cath Lab and Radiology to care for patients needing procedures in those areas.  This team provides the largest state-of-the-art care to residents of the southern metro. It is the most advanced emergency, surgery, orthopedic and children's care available south of the Minnesota River.  Ridges Hospital received the 2018 Distinguised Hospital Award- Clinical Excellence. 

    Responsibilities/Job Description

    The Nurse Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, goals, and objectives of assigned area(s) and Fairview Health Services

    • Develops and/or provides input into budget for assigned area(s) according to established procedures.
    • Ensures that a process for collecting, monitoring and reporting quality data exists for assigned area.
    • Investigates and responds appropriately to all complaints and takes effective, corrective action when necessary.
    • Utilizes the nursing process in problem solving,
    • Serves as a role model for staff.
    • Manages change using a planned, orderly approach.
    • Demonstrates ability to implement problem-solving mechanisms in both routine and emergency situations.
    • Delegates appropriate tasks to staff.
    • Ensures implementation and development of standards of practice in patient care that reflect valid research findings.
    • Evaluates, develops and revises clinical systems to assure regulatory compliance



    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field. If bachelors is not in nursing then must have a Master's degree in nursing. 
    • 3 years clinical nursing experience 
    • 1 year of nursing leadership experience
    • Operating Room Experience
    • Minnesota RN license


    Preferred Requirements:

    • Preferred Advanced Degree in nursing or related field
    • Other forms of supervisory or management experience
