    Fairview Health Services & HealthEast is looking for a fantastic. team-oriented Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA or LPN) to provide professional, quality care to patients at HealthEast's Infectious Disease, Rheumatology & Endocrinology Clinics located at the HealthEast Maplewood Specialty Clinic on St. John's campus. The Maplewood Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic that is dedicated to compassionate care for all ages. 

    • This is a casual position, meaning there no guaranteed hours
    • The hours for this position will be 8AM to 4:30PM or 8:30AM to 5PM, 2-3 eight hour shifts/month (approximately)
    • This position will work out of the HealthEast Maplewood Specialty Center and will also cover the Midway and Woodwinds clinicso as needed

    Responsibilities/Job Description

     

    • Maintains knowledge of and complies with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
    • Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
    • Supports the nursing process to achieve outcome focused patient care by following the plan of care in order to achieve identified patient outcomes
    • Observes and collects data to contribute to the assessments of the patient and family in order to develop an outcome focused plan of care.
    • Follows the plan of care in order to achieve identified patient outcomes.
    • Intervenes in emergency situations as appropriate within scope of practice.
    • Communicates effectively with patient/family, physicians, and the interdependent team regarding the care of the patient.
    • Contributes to the achievement of patient and unit outcomes (Safety, cost, quality, satisfaction, engagement) by working collaboratively with inter and intradepartmental teams.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Current Medical Assistant certification by the AAMA or AMT (or able to obtain within 6 months of hire) or License Practical Nurse (LPN) through the MN Board of Nursing
    • Current BLS certification required upon hire 

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior clinic experience
    • Willingness and ability to work at other locations
