  • Overview

    Adolescent Substance Use Disorder Treatment in Chisago City serving male and female clients and families.  This is a 14 bed residential program.  You have the opportunity to change the lives of youth who are struggling with substance issues and emotional difficulties. You will work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to treat youth and teach recovery and life skills to create change.  

    Responsibilities/Job Description

    The Psych Associate is responsible for the delivery of patient care, and promotion of a therapeutic environment as delegated by and under the supervision of the RN so that the goals and objectives of treatment are achieved on each unit as assigned.
    Physical Demands:Sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, push/pull, stooping/crouching, finger dexterity, speaking,hearing and visual.
    Mental Demands:Frequent people contact, irregular work schedule, detailed work, frequent interruptions, decisions making skills, concentration, ability to work independently, multitasking, organizations skills, working with others, de-escalation, electronic health record documentation.
    Physical Environment:Noise, infectious disease, moving machinery, fumes/gases, human tissue/fluids, radiation, telephone usage, chemicals, biohazard matl and work inside. 



    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Basic Life Support Certification
    • Valid Minnesota Driver’s License
    • Ability to pass background and driving record check and have a safe driving record per Fairview’s Motor Vehicle policy standards
    • Experience working with adolescents

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Human Services Field
    • Experience working in the mental health field
