  • Overview

    Assists department clinical leaders with daily staffing needs and monthly schedules. Works with nursing management to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.


    This is a part-time, benefit eligible opportunity (0.6 FTE, 48 hours/ pay period) to work days and evenings during the week (7am-3:30pm and/or 3pm-11:30pm), typically every 4th weekend (Fri-Sun, 5am-1:30pm or 1pm-9:30pm), and rotating holidays.

    Responsibilities/Job Description

    • Reviews staffing levels on a daily basis and calls available staff. Reviews scheduled staff with charge nurse and Administrative Nursing Supervisor on a shift-by shift basis to ensure skill level is adequate for patient care needs
    • Provides information regarding staffing requirements to staff and management. Reports issues and problems to department leader and/or Administrative Nursing Supervisor
    • Provides staffing report to Administrative Nursing Supervisor regarding census and staff needed for next shift all within proper contract guidelines
    • Answers phones, provides customer service to staff coming into the office daily
    • Reviews and updates employees My Time records in Kronos
    • Ensures accurate records of agency use are completed on a daily basis to include licensure and DHS, orientation, and evaluation forms
    • Approves and processes shift exchanges, ensures accurate data entry in scheduling system to include ill calls, schedules changes, and extra shifts
    • Seeks opportunities to improve existing processes, procedures, and practices
    • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards
    • Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements
    • Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned



    • Associate (2 year) degree in business or healthcare-related area OR High School diploma/GED and equivalent experience
    • 1 to 3 years of related office or healthcare experience


    • Previous hospital experience
