The Community Wellness RN will provide nursing care to surgical patients in alternate setting other than acute care hospital. The patient stay is typically 2 to 4 days post-op and most surgeries are orthopedic.
The RN will:
Participate and cooperate with patient, family, therapy, and physician in developing and/or modifying a plan of care for each patient.
Offer support and education to patients and their families.
Maintain a clinical record and meet all documentation standards and policies for each patient.
Participate in case-specific orientation and training when necessary to assure competence in carrying out the plan of care.
Current RN License in the State of Minnesota
Current CPR - BLS (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers) Certification
6 months recent RN experience in acute care, TCU or Ortho home care.
Must have reliable transportation
Valid Minnesota driver’s license (or license from the state in which you claim permanent residence. Tempory exceptions may be made in consultation with HR.
Must carry current and adequate automobile insurance policy
Computer skills (able to document effectively in EMR)
